PAC Hot Lunch!

Hello Parents!

Welcome to the 2024/2025 school year!

My name is Kathleen, but most call me Kath. I’m your PJGA PAC Hot Lunch Coordinator! I set up and oversee the hot lunch program that runs weekly at Gaglardi. Our hot lunch program is the BIGGEST fundraiser for PAC, and each year, our team sources local restaurants to provide fun and affordable meals for almost every Friday of the school year!

Our hot lunch program will commence with its first hot lunch on October 4/24, with an ordering window starting on Sept. 18/24 and ending on Sept. 29/24. And don't worry, you don't need to remember that - I'll send you emails ;)

Here are a few things to note about the PJGA hot lunch program:

1. Please remember, even if you have ordered from the system before, the entire system is cleared at the end of each year. Each family must create a new account for their child(ren). Start your registration process here: https://gaglardiacademy.hotlunches.net/ .  Head to the website and create your account now to ensure you receive all email updates about the hot lunch program and are ready for the first order!

2. Please ensure you have the CORRECT teacher/classroom on your child(ren) 's profile. This will help avoid confusion while distributing orders on Fridays.

3. There will be a new ordering window every two months (i.e., the first ordering window will be for September/October, the next for November/December, and so on). Please watch for emails and updates in the WAAG for ordering window opening dates!

4. IMPORTANT: Once the ordering window is closed, it WILL NOT be reopened. Our team sets a big window and sends out multiple reminder emails to help you remember to order for your children; however, once the window is closed, it will remain closed. 

5. Concessions will be open again! Like last year, we will offer a selection of "concession items" at the hot lunch tables each Friday. Each item will be priced between $1 and $4, and the proceeds will go directly to PAC. So, if you feel like sending your kids a couple of extra bucks if you missed ordering a hot lunch or maybe just because it's FRIYAY, they can choose from items like juice boxes, fruit bars, chips, fishy crackers, and more. 

Also, please note: Payments for hot lunch can be made by PayPal, Cash or Cheque. If paying by cash or cheque, you will be required to drop these off in clearly marked envelopes at the school office by a specified date. Cheques can be made out to NCES PAC. E-transfer to the school is NOT accepted.
