For this year’s missions, some of our grade 8 and 9 boys spent two days at the Homewood camp. The young men had the opportunity to represent Gaglardi Academy and were excited at the opportunity for service, building community, as well as participating in riflery, archery, and canoeing. The boys worked extremely hard, helping out the camp to stack firewood that the camp would need for the coming year.
Even though the boys put in long hours of work, not one of them complained. They were glad to be of service to Homewood and were very gracious in the giving of their time (and muscles!). Everyone had a great time and all of the Homewood staff expressed the desire to have us back next year.
Way to go, boys!
