Dear Friends and Families,
We are happy to announce that a new playground for grades 4-7 has been ordered. The installation of the new playground, including a GaGa ball court, should be completed sometime in early spring and situated at the back of the property overlooking the vista of fields and trees.
With the new parking lot and services coming this June on our property's east side, we need to move quickly to dismantle the old playground and erect the new playground in preparation for the construction. The new playground will cost approximately $91,000. This is quite a bit, to be sure, but between the Board, PAC, and two large community donations, we have already raised 85% of the cost, leaving us with just $15,000 to be raised.
We need your help! Would you consider making a year-end donation towards completing our vision for this playground project? You’ve heard it said that “many hands make light work”, and you have demonstrated your amazing generosity time and time again. I am confident that when the invoice arrives for payment in January, we will have the full amount we need. Donations small and big will be gratefully received!
As a recognized charitable organization, you will receive a taxable receipt for your full donation amount. Charitable contributions for the 2020 tax year will be accepted until December 24th, 2020. A tax receipt will be issued to the individual or business for their contribution by February 28, 2021.
I would like to thank the playground committee, especially Kelly Hiller, who has worked diligently to complete the project's first phase. Between research, grant writing, and assessing quotes, the team has successfully laid the groundwork for Phase II. For Phase II, we are blessed to have Brent Ayley, who is willing to coordinate logistics and organize volunteers to complete the final phase.
God’s blessings upon you and your family this Christmas holiday. Please stay safe.
Warmly,
Bernadette Pitcher
