Grade 10-12s serve the community in a big way

10-12 Service Day

On Thursday, our senior students set aside a day for service in the Comox Valley. Here's what different groups of students did:

• Picked up garbage in downtown Courtenay.
• Joined the gardening crew at St. Peter's Church to work on fall clean-up.
• Engaged with people living rough in Courtenay by serving food. This group also met up with professionals who are currently working to serve those in need to discuss ways of caring and helping. 
• Spent time at The Views, making connections with seniors who attend the Adult Day Program.
• Served food at the Sonshine Lunch Club.
• Chopped and stacked wood at Selah Campsite, preparing for next summer's church groups.

It was a great day of getting out into the community to help where we could!
