Jambo - Hello to our school community!
My name is Joy Tansky, and it has been my privilege to work with this year’s grade 12 students in Missions.
As you are aware, international travel was not advisable nor permitted this year, so our grade 12 students, who have dreamed of going to Tanzania since Grade 5, have had to deal with the disappointment of not seeing their dream fulfilled.
However, that disappointment did not stop our students from coming up with a plan to contribute meaningfully to the work of Juma’s World in Tanzania. In September, they began working on a project that would support two Tanzanian families in their quest to send their children onto post-secondary training and education.
We are excited to launch that project - Dream Elephants - today! This week, all students in our school learned a bit more about Tanzania and how they can be a part of helping Moses, Pude and Milka fulfill their dreams of going to university.
We ask that you would take time to watch the video posted below to learn about the Dream Elephant project and how you can help your children get involved.
Asante - thank you!
Joy
