We’ve got a bee in our bonnet! Yes! A Math Bee… We celebrate that our gracious God has made each child unique. In the busy year of a school, there are always lots of opportunities to honour our musicians, artists, athletes, and readers but not always as many opportunities to applaud the budding mathematicians among us. The Gaglardi Math Bee is our way of honouring our math aficionados while at the same time helping ALL our students build their basic math skills.

Since math is a mandatory subject for graduation, we understand that making the learning fun is a real gift for their future selves. Playing math games such as addition “War” with cards or having fun family “mad minute” math drills while seated around the supper table or reciting times tables at each stop sign when driving will serve to strengthen every child’s math confidence. Try visiting prodigy.com, mathplayground.com, education.com for some online math fun or even adding a math skill such as multiplying or subtracting to a regular game like Snakes & Ladders will help set your child up for math success. With 10 minutes of daily math, it will only take about 3 weeks before you and your child will have developed a new healthy habit!
