Phil & Jennie Gaglardi Academy is an active, healthy school and with your help it will continue to be so. As the saying goes, “Many hands make light work,” and boy, isn’t that true! Classroom Helpers & Field Trip Drivers:  Classroom helper volunteers may assist the classroom teacher with preparation for classroom learning, lead a guided reading group, drive for field trips or anything else that the teacher might need. Crosswalk/Parking Safety:  Crosswalk/Parking Safety volunteers are vital for the safety of our children and are needed for both morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up each day of the week. For more information, please contact Dr. Lori Carpenter by clicking the link below.

Grounds & Building Maintenance:  Buildings and grounds that get used on a daily basis need routine maintenance and our school is no exception. To keep our school up and running, and looking fresh and clean, we need maintenance volunteers for both the building and grounds. If you are able to paint, do carpentry or handyman work, mow lawns or weed gardens, we need you! For more information, please click on the link below.

Hot Lunch Program:  Hot lunch volunteers are needed to put together the Friday lunches and deliver them to the appropriate classes, as well as organize the lunches that will be picked-up by high school students. Library:  Jobs in the library include re-shelving books, covering new books with Mactac, and refiling books/bookshelf clean-up at the end of the school year. If you are interested in helping in the library, please contact Mary Johnson by clicking the link below.

Parent Advisory Council:  Our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) hosts many events throughout the school year and raises money for classrooms, extracurricular activities and transportation costs. In order to do all this, PAC needs your ideas, talents, and hands!  Recess Supervision:  For student safety, we need Recess Supervisors to walk around the school grounds during morning and lunch recesses. The presence of supervisors ensures that game rules are being followed, children are playing safely on playground equipment, and unacceptable behaviors are managed. Swimming Program:  Our swimming program for Grade 1 and 2 students, from April 5 to June 7, needs a dad to supervise in the boys changing room, assist children who need help dressing, and collect any items that are left behind and give to the supervising teachers.  Tanzania Fundraisers:  Every year our school sends its graduating students on a life-changing missions trip to Tanzania and every year we need help fundraising to help keep costs affordable for our students.
